At Dignus Group, we’re proud to see how personalised support can unlock potential, build independence, and change lives. Here are two powerful examples from our homes.
HRC’s story
Within just one month of joining us, HRC went from only attending school to taking part in meaningful activities in the community every day – both after school and at weekends. He is thriving, fully engaged with team members, and actively involved in planning and cooking his own meals.
J’s story
Before moving to our No. 39. residential home, J spent nearly two years in a hospital, leading to social isolation and communication struggles. He often internalised his feelings, which resulted in behaviours of concern.
Through open communication with our Manager, consistent team member support, alternative ways to express himself, and a tailored Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan, J has made remarkable progress. He no longer presents with behaviours of concern and now talks openly with team members about his worries.
Today, J takes part in community activities such as swimming and attending Coventry Blades ice hockey matches, and he is preparing to take his driving test. He recently told us, “I’ve got the best life I’ve ever had.”
Feedback from professionals and families
We are privileged to receive recognition from professionals and families who see the impact of our work:
- “The sensitive and proactive approach has been so appreciated. All of them have really listened and understood the issues for the young people and worked in partnership to help address these.” – Social Worker, Local Authority
- “Your service supports six of our most complex individuals… the care, support and interventions have been outstanding. Nikki leads two fabulous teams… The physical health needs of all of our individuals have improved greatly since being in your service, and their forensic risks are effectively monitored, reported and managed.” – Senior Community Forensic Nurse and Team Leader, NHS Foundation Trust
- “I have been absolutely overjoyed with the level of care and support… My visits are now focused solely on spending quality time and simply enjoying each other’s company. This is such a contrast to their previous residential setting.” – Family member
