Getting started
How do I arrange a visit?
We understand how important it is to find the right environment for your loved one. Contact our team and we'll arrange a convenient time for you to visit a home, meet the team and ask any questions you may have.
How do I know which service is right for my loved one?
Our team will take the time to understand individual needs, goals and circumstances before recommending the most appropriate support option.
What support options are available?
Dignus Group provides Residential Care through Dignus Specialist Care, Supported Living through Dignus Support, and Children's Services through Lucania.
Can I visit more than one home?
Yes. We encourage families to visit suitable homes so they can make an informed decision.
Referrals & assessments
How does the referral process work?
Once a referral is received, our team reviews the information, identifies suitable options, completes assessments and works with all stakeholders to develop a support plan.
Who can make a referral?
Referrals can be made by families, social workers, commissioners, case managers, healthcare professionals and other care providers.
How long does the referral process take?
Timescales vary depending on the individual's needs and the information available. We aim to respond as quickly as possible and keep all parties updated throughout the process.
Can you support emergency placements?
Yes. We regularly work with professionals and families to support urgent and emergency referrals where appropriate.
What information is required for a referral?
Typically: assessments, risk information, support needs, current placement information and funding details.
Funding & placements
How are placements funded?
Support may be funded through Local Authority funding, NHS Continuing Healthcare, personal budgets or other agreed funding arrangements.
Can you help me understand funding options?
Yes. Our team can discuss funding routes and help explain the process.
What happens once funding is agreed?
A transition and support plan will be developed to ensure a safe and successful move into the service.

Can people have their own tenancy?
