For more than two decades, JW Hinks has been a trusted partner to Dignus Group, supporting our growth from a small care provider to the organisation we are today.

During that time, our business has grown significantly, and the relationship has evolved with it.

What began with one generation has continued into the next, with JW Hinks remaining a trusted part of the business, giving us the space to focus on developing the wider group, our teams, and the people we support.

More than two decades of working together

Our relationship with JW Hinks began more than two decades ago and has continued through different stages of the business.

Today, JW Hinks continues to support our leadership team, helping us navigate the financial and regulatory responsibilities that come with growth.

That longevity brings a level of familiarity that is difficult to replicate. JW Hinks has been there through significant changes in the business, from the decisions that have shaped our direction to the challenges that naturally come with growth.

That familiarity means conversations can be straightforward. We can discuss an opportunity, ask a question, or work through a challenge without having to explain the wider context each time.

For us, that is an important part of the relationship. It has developed over many years and is based on trust, consistency and a shared understanding.

Evolving with our business

What was once a much smaller organisation now has 386 team members, supporting 74 people across 16 homes, including 14 residential homes and two supported living services.

Growth on that scale brings new opportunities, responsibilities and decisions about how Dignus continues to develop. As we’ve grown, our financial and compliance requirements have evolved too.

As we have grown, so have our financial and compliance requirements. Management accounts and forecasting have become increasingly important, alongside audit, corporation tax, and year-end accounts.

With this continued growth, our focus has remained the same: creating the right environments, opportunities and outcomes for the people we support.

Having that relationship in place has allowed us to keep our focus on other areas of the business too. We have been able to put more time into developing our teams, strengthening our internal functions, and building the organisation we need for the future.

Having trusted partners like JW Hinks allows us to focus our time and energy on developing services, supporting our teams and planning for the future with confidence.

People make the difference

At Dignus, we’ve always believed that great support starts with great people. Whether that’s our own teams or the partners we work alongside, strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do.

Many of our team have been with us for more than ten years, a significant part of our journey.

That experience matters. It brings knowledge of the organisation, an understanding of the people around them and a strong sense of responsibility for the work we do.

People are also at the heart of our relationships. After more than two decades of working together with JW Hinks, it is the relationships between the people involved that have made the partnership what it is today.

There is a shared approach to how we work, built on trust, respect and taking the time to understand one another. Having worked together for more than 20 years, JW Hinks understands our organisation, our ambitions and the challenges we face, giving us confidence as we continue to grow.

For us, that is what makes the partnership valuable. It goes beyond professional services and is built on trust, understanding and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.

Looking to the next chapter

At Dignus, Brave Decisions. Better Lives. is more than a tagline. It’s the approach that has guided our growth over the last 20 years. From investing in new services to strengthening the support we provide, our focus has always been on making decisions that improve lives and create positive outcomes.

That does not mean making decisions for the sake of change. It means having the courage to look at what is needed, challenge what is not working, and make responsible choices about what comes next.

That applies across our organisation. Whether we are developing our teams, investing in our homes or strengthening our internal functions, we want to make decisions that have a positive and lasting impact on the people we support.

Having the right people around us is an important part of that. JW Hinks gives us a trusted perspective when we need to understand the financial implications of a decision, while allowing us to keep sight of the bigger picture.

Ultimately, ‘brave decisions, better lives’ is about putting courage and responsibility into practice. It means being prepared to make the right choices, even when they are not always the easiest ones, and keeping the people we support at the centre of those decisions.

As we look to the future, partnerships like JW Hinks help give us the confidence to keep growing, innovating and creating better lives for the people we support.
